Jill Reed Render is originally from Evansville in
Southern Indiana. She graduated from Herron School of Art in 1998
and now lives in Broad Ripple with her husband, Matt, and daughter, Mira.
Jill makes many forms of art including drawing
and painting in many mediums such as acrylic, watercolor and oil paints, acrylic inks and oil pastels. She
also creates jewelry from recycled materials such as buttons and paper clay.
In
my new series, I developed my own language of symbols and forms pulled forth out of abstraction. I struggle
to express how we are all separate yet connected to everything through being. I have added threads of philosophy
and spirituality to my language as a universal expression of human needs.
